The Villawood Bendigo Spirit head into their match on Saturday against Townsville determined to put their first win on the board for the 2020 WNBL season.

The team has endured four consecutive losses so far, the most recent a 13-point defeat from the Perth Lynx on Wednesday night which leaves them as the only team in the league without a win.
Spirit vice captain Amelia Todhunter said the team was prepared to go one step further in their match against Townsville on Saturday.
"We are getting better each game and really starting to find our groove as a team," Todhunter said.
"It's going to be a big challenge for us against Townsville but we won't leave any stone unturned and we will throw as much as we can at them on the court offensively and defensively."
During the most recent game against the Lynx the Spirit showed strong improvements in comparison to previous games and the plan is to continue building on that performance.
"We played with heart," Todhunter said.
"We started on the back foot in the first three games and really didn't finish how we wanted.
"Even at three-quarter time against the Lynx we spoke and then went back out on the court and never gave up which is exactly the plan this weekend.
"Go out and leave nothing in the tank."
