NAB branches across Australia will re-open on Thursday after a threat since deemed a hoax.
In a statement NAB said state and federal police had advised it the threat was not credible.
UPDATE 6.50pm: We are pleased to advise it is safe to return to NAB branches and BBCs tomorrow from morning. The latest advice from State and Federal police is that the physical threat is not credible and has been deemed a hoax. Thank you for your patience.— NAB (@NAB) November 18, 2020
All NAB locations would re-open on Thursday morning, the statement said.
"We understand that this caused inconvenience to our customers and colleagues, however their safety and security is our absolute priority and that is why we took the action we did," NAB said.
"We did so with the information that we had at the time."
NAB has not specified the nature of the threat.
Bendigo has two NAB branches, one on Mitchell Street, the other at Strath Village.
