Rebecca Rose McGee, 35, pleaded guilty in the County Court on Tuesday to five charges, including recklessly causing serious injury, drug trafficking, possessing controlled weapons and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
The court was told that on September 15, 2019 the victim, a 42-year-old man, went "under false pretenses" to the house McGee shared with her partner.
When he arrived, McGee locked the doors and he was attacked by her partner.
The victim suffered at least two stab wounds, fractures, cuts and bruises, the court heard.
He needed three surgeries to repair the damage.
"I find I can't sleep... fearing I might be attacked," he said in a victim impact statement read to the court.
"My life will never be the same."

The court heard that police who attended the house found heroin, cash and the weapons - a slingshot and two swords.
A second search in January this year, when McGee was arrested, uncovered more drugs.
In total, five grams of pure heroin was seized.
McGee has written a letter of apology, which has been provided to the court.
"I'm sorry that it happened," McGee told the court. "I feel sorry for [the victim]."
She told the court she hopes to find new employment and accommodation in the near future, but the court heard McGee will need support in the community.
Judge Felicity Hampel adjourned the case until Friday so that options for that support can be assessed.
