Victoria is "continuing to monitor" the new coronavirus outbreak in South Australia.
Border measures were limiting road movement into Victoria, the Department of Health and Human Services said, and officials were testing passengers arriving at Melbourne Airport from Adelaide.
The corridor extending 70 kilometres either side of the Victoria-SA border remained in place, allowing residents to cross without restriction.
"No (new) border restrictions have been imposed at this stage, but we are continuing to monitor the situation in South Australia," deputy chief health officer Allen Cheng said.
Other news
"All cases in the outbreak in South Australia have known links and are currently within metropolitan Adelaide, so the risk to Victoria's border communities is low.
"People in South Australia who have been at a high-risk location are required to quarantine, and the South Australian border is closed to most travellers from Victoria. We are also putting in place a range of other measures, including screening arrivals at Melbourne Airport, alerting aged care facilities and hospitals and continuing wastewater testing in western Victoria."
Victorian Energy, Environment and Climate Change Minister Lily D'Ambrosio acknowledged road borders presented a "challenge", AAP reported, and said the state government is monitoring the situation in SA hour by hour.
Earlier
Victoria has recorded its eighteenth consecutive day of no new coronavirus cases or deaths.
The Department of Health and Human Services update on Tuesday morning revealed that among more than 17,000 test results received in the past 24 hours, no new virus cases were detected.
There remains three active COVID-19 cases in Victoria, with zero cases of unknown source.

With 17 new coronavirus cases recorded on Monday in South Australia, Premier Steven Marshall said just one new case was recorded overnight, linked to a known outbreak.
It is believed the virus originated from a medi-hotel and grew from three cases to 17, with 15 of them in one family.
Mr Marshall announced a number of restrictions, effective from 12.01am Tuesday morning, including the closure of gyms and density and gatherings limits at restaurants and venues.
All international flights to Adelaide are being suspended until the end of next week.
The Victorian government is also cranking up precautions for airport arrivals from South Australia following a COVID-19 outbreak in that state.
Every flight from Adelaide into Melbourne's Tullamarine airport would be met by Department of Health and Human Services officials, Victorian Deputy Chief Health Officer Allen Cheng on Monday announced.
"They will be taking names and contact details of people arriving from South Australia and asking them where they have been," Dr Cheng said.
They would also have their temperature and symptoms checked.
