Barbecues outside the hardware stores will be turned on for the first time since March and Golden Square Kindergarten will have the tongs on Saturday, November 14 at Bunnings Kangaroo Flat, hoping to fundraise for their bathroom renovation.
Director Carol O'Bree said a number of parents will volunteer their time to operate the sausage sizzle.

"We've had huge donations of product from parents, so what we do sell, we are going to get as much profit as possible," Ms O'Bree said.
In the past, the kindergarten has raised upwards of $1500, but some enthusiastic parents are setting their sights higher.
"Chris Booth, one of the main organisers and volunteers said we could raise as much as $3500," Ms O'Bree said.
"That sounds like a lot of sausages."
Bunnings chief operating officer Deb Poole said the sausage sizzles play such an important fundraising role for hundreds of community groups.
"We know our customers love to support these groups by stopping by the sausage sizzles and our store teams can't wait to help restart this weekend tradition," Ms Poole said.
The sausage sizzles were suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, with Bunnings donating $500 gift cards to local organisations who had booked fundraisers in March.
The sausage sizzles will feature separate ordering and pick-up points to allow for physical distancing.
