He also obtained or dealt in a list of names and credit card details belonging to others without their permission, and dishonestly dealt in credit card details belonging to two named individuals.
The documents show Poot used the credit card information of others to buy tools and goods collectively worth more than $16,000, including three CNC router machines and two bongs.
He also accessed the credit records of several people held by a credit information and analysis company.
Poot pleaded guilty to two counts unauthorised access to a computer, using a carriage service to make a threat, using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence, three counts of dishonestly obtaining or dealing in personal financial information, controlling an email account with intent to deal in financial information, four counts of obtaining property by deception, and impairing electronic communication.
Magistrate Julie Grainger found there was sufficient evidence from police to support a conviction and committed Poot to the County Court, where he will appear for plea next March.
Poot remains on bail, with conditions that forbid him access to the internet or the possession of devices that could provide access to the internet.
He is also facing several other charges laid by a Victoria Police member, to which he will enter a plea in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court next January.
