POWER has been restored to properties in Bendigo, but more than 60 homes north of the city are without power.
About 47 properties in Kamarooka and 23 houses in Drummartin were facing outages on Wednesday evening due to lighting.
Power was expected to be restored to those homes at 9.30pm.

About 20 customers in Woodvale and Eaglehawk North were also affected in the power outages.
The cause of that blackout was under investigation with the estimated restoration time sitting at 3am on Thursday.
About 25 properties in Marong were also without power on Wednesday evening.
The cause of the outage was under investigation. Power was expected to be restored by 3.30am on Thursday.

ABOUT 45 homes are without power in Bendigo due to a lightning strike.
The Powercor website showed the location of the blackout as High Street.
The estimated restoration time was 7pm on Wednesday.

POWER has been restored to properties around Wedderburn.
But the Powercor website showed more blackouts outside of Bendigo.
There were about 23 customers in Bridgewater and Bridgewater North without power on Wednesday evening.
The cause of the outage was under investigation with the expected restoration time sitting at 7.30pm.
Six properties were also without power in Mandurang due to lightning. Power was expected to be restored to those homes by 8.30pm.
More than 300 homes in the Redesdale, Mia Mia, and Glenhope area were also facing blackouts on Wednesday evening.
The cause was under investigation with estimated restoration time set for 2.30am on Thursday.

RACING has been cancelled in Bendigo due to lightning and thunder.
The 2.45pm meeting was abandoned on Wednesday due to extreme lightning activity.

MORE than 40 homes are without power around Wedderburn as thunderstorms lash the state on Wednesday afternoon.
The Powercor website showed 37 customers in Wedderburn, north-west of Bendigo, were without power.
The cause of the outage was under investigation with the expected restoration time sitting at 10pm on Wednesday.

There were also power outages in neighbouring towns, including Borung, Fernihurst, Kyrong Vale, and Boort.
It came as the Bureau of Meteorology and VicEmergency issued thunderstorm asthma warnings for central Victoria.
Authorities have advised anyone with a history of asthma or hay fever, or experiencing wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness or persistent cough, should have reliever medication with them at all times.
People should also avoid wind gusts by staying inside with closed windows and doors.
