"They removed nearly one tonne of rubbish, woody weeds and cactus from one property in California Gully," Mr Sharrock said.
"A further 860 kilograms of rubbish was collected from local parks and forests including TVs, fridges, paint tins, green waste, tyres, building and domestic rubbish."
The condition of McIvor Creek has also improved, with the removal of cape broom, other weeds and rubbish from a 1.6 kilometre section of the creek.
The hard-working crews also removed more than 2.2 tonnes of rubbish and weeds from the Dai Gum San block in Long Gully, while two trailer loads of scrap metal were taken from a Golden Square block.
"The crews diverted a huge amount of woody debris from landfill by putting it through a woodchipper and creating seven cubic metres of wood chips.
