Health Minister Martin Foley announced authorities would be conducting a COVID-19 compliance blitz across the state, as Victoria moves one step closer to further restrictions being eased.
Speaking outside the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Mr Foley said the Department of Justice and Community Safety blitz, which will involve Victoria Police, authorised Department of Health and Human Services officers and WorkSafe investigators, would target high risk workplaces.
"We need to make sure the enormous sacrifices and progress Victorians have made over the pandemic are sustained," Mr Foley said.

The continued wearing of masks, keeping social distance and density limits at businesses would form part of the blitz.
"We know there are reports from businesses, workers and members of the community about how social distancing, mask wearing and other arrangements have not in all instances been complied with," Mr Foley said.
"Overwhelmingly, businesses are doing the right thing, but it has to be sustained and we must remain vigilant."
Mr Foley said Victorians will learn more on Sunday about the next steps of the government's COVID roadmap.
Following the eighth consecutive day of no new coronavirus cases or deaths, Mr Foley said there remains eight active COVID-19 cases in Victoria, including two hospitalisations.
