A LIST of 35 players have been invited to begin pre-season training with the Bendigo Pioneers Girls under-19 squad.
The 35 players feature a split of 20 top-age players and 15 bottom-age players for what will be the first season of the new NAB League under-19 age group next year after it was elevated from under-18s.
The 2021 NAB League girls season will begin in February and run in conjunction with both the AFLW and VFLW seasons.
"We are excited to get these girls back playing football, having fun and learning new skills in order to develop their football, and, hopefully, take their football to the next level," Pioneers head coach Damian Truslove said.
"Like any squad, players that are excelling outside this squad in local league football have the opportunity to be included throughout the season, as well as the players that have already been selected that don't meet expectations may be released back to local football."
The list of 35 includes players from Bendigo, Castlemaine, Mildura, Malmsbury, Hay, Kyneton, Echuca, Rochester, Swan Hill, Woodend and Campbells Creek.
The Pioneers are hopeful training will begin on Sunday, November 22.
