FARM FRESH GOODS
Are you looking for fresh, local ingredients? Head along to the Bendigo community farmers mini mid-week market on Thursday.
The summer months bring in new, fresh, sweet fruits and various vegetables in abundance.
Feel inspired to cook at this market.
The larger community market is on the second Saturday of every month.
Where: The Good Loaf Sourdough Bakery and Cafe, Hargreaves Street, Bendigo.
When: Weekly on Thursdays, 3pm to 5.30pm.
SUNDAY MARKET
The Bendigo Sunday Market is a community event run nearly every Sunday.
The market is one of the largest in central Victoria and is COVID-19 safe, meeting council guidelines.
There will be plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, various foods, coffee, plants, clothing, furniture, craft items, children's items, picture framing, gifts for everyone, antiques and much more.
The market is also free to attend with ample parking available.
Where: Prince of Wales Showgrounds, 42-72 Holmes Road, North Bendigo.

ONLINE EVENTS
LOCATING DEATH
Locating Death: Bodies, Objects and Places is a panel discussion event which will explore death, memory and culture.
In association with the La Trobe Art Institute exhibition One foot on the ground, one foot in the water, this event will include speakers, Catherine Bell, Michael Needham, Marc Trabsky and Travis Curtin.
Discussions will be around death, dying and memorial practices.
This is a free event, bookings are not required.

SING ME THE SUMMER
Join Squishy Minnie Bookstore along with Jane Godwin and Alison Lester in a fun storytime event as they read from the new picture book, Sing Me the Summer.

HERITAGE UNCORKED
Join in with Bendigo Heritage Uncorked for The Unseen Series.
Order wines, grab your friends and enjoy a Friday night wine chat.
Each Friday for six weeks, there will be a live-streamed chat with local winemakers, filmed in an unseen corner of an historic Bendigo building.
Jump online, buy your wine and receive your link to the events.

ACROSS THE WIRES
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bendigo Blues and Roots Music Festival has been forced to move their festival online for the year.
Through Facebook Live, 65 artists from all over will record performances, free to view here.
Artists will include locals Bill Barber, Erica Hawkey Band, JadeByrd, Luke Watt, Midweek Blues plus many, many others.

BURNING WORLD
The Burning World exhibition brings together works by four Australian artists, Hoda Afshar, Peta Clancy, Rosemary Laing and Michael Cook.
This exhibition examines natural landscapes to reveal more about human inhabitation.
These works confront realities and focus attention to what may have been overlooked.
This is a free online exhibition and can be viewed via the Bendigo Art Gallery website.

OUTDOOR EVENTS
BABY RHYME TIME
Join in with the Castlemaine Library and Donna and Christie for Baby Rhyme Time, an event filled with songs, stories and rhymes aimed at babies under 12 months and their parents-carers.
Bookings are required, maximum 10 people an event. Babies under 12 months of age are not counted in these numbers, so please only attend if a parent or carer - no older children at this stage.

SOCIAL RIDE
Enjoy a day our with the Castlemaine Rocky Riders, exploring Poverty Gully and some of the historic water races.
Luke Stevens will be leading the group, with the area showcasing some of the relics of the gold rush era.
Ride is along 20 kilometres of varied terrain, duration about two and a half hours.
Please bring own food, water, spare parts. An MTBA Day Licence can be bought on the day at a cost of $10 (adults) or $7 (juniors) if riders wish, or you can sign a waiver to ride at your own risk.
Where: Meet and depart from Theatre Royal, Castlemaine.

CAMPBELLS CREEK WATTLES
Join the Friends of Campbells Creek Landcare Group this Sunday to help them find and protect germinating wattles sowed back in July.
Each tiny wattle will be protected with either netting guards or temporary branches.
If interested, please enquire about the working bee and become involved with the group.
Please bring gloves, a hat, sturdy clothing and footwear, water and any snacks needed.
Face masks are required in line with COVID-19 regulations.

OPEN SCULPTURE EXHIBITION
Each weekend until November 22, Mica Grange opens its garden gates for a sculpture exhibition.
Located at the foothills of Mount Alexander, Mica Grange is renowned for its garden walks, afternoon teas and lunches.
Each opening features a wide range of sculptures from all over Australia, along with plants and preserves for sale.
Group bookings can be arranged for weekday visits. Entry $7 - children under 18 free.

CREATE SPACE
Create Space is a time for people to meet up, bring along a project to work on (sewing, drawing, sculpting, etc) and just be together in a safe, supportive environment.
This free program will be facilitated by qualified and experienced Art Therapist, Marcela Olea, to help assist the group in its formation.
There will be a large box of equipment and materials for people to use in their projects. Contributions to the box are welcome.
Places are limited to just eight people.
You will need to bring your own project.

SHARING PROCESS
The Greater Bendigo region has a community of First Nations artists whose cultural histories span all throughout Australia.

TROVE MARKET
Making its way back to Bendigo is the much loved Trove Market.
Featuring 45 stalls with handmade goods, pottery, clothing, tea, olives, art - including Nicky Kriss Art (featured on Channel Nine's The Block) and live music by up and coming musician, Tom Harrington.
This market is locally loved by the community and is not one to be missed.

3CHORD CLUB
The 3Chord Club is a newer live music event focused on providing a space where folk, blues and country musicians can get together, try out their music, meet other musicians and have a jamming good time.
Hosted at the Guildford Family Hotel, musicians who play at this event will get free entry and a free drink.
Audiences welcome to attend for a $5 entry fee.
