The region recorded 72.2 millimetres of rain last month, more than seven times the amount recorded in October 2019.
The last time October rainfall was that high in Bendigo was 2010, when 137.6 millimetres was recorded.

That year, flooding rain swept through much of central Victoria due to a La Nina event.
More than 100 people were evacuated from Creswick, near Ballarat, as a result of the floods. There was also flash flooding events in Bendigo, Maryborough, Charlton, and Donald.
The Bureau of Meteorology last month confirmed Australia had entered another La Nina event in 2020.
La Nina typically increases the chance of above average rainfall during spring and summer.
The bureau is predicting increased rainfall could last until at least February 2021.
