Coronavirus restrictions mean the traditional Bendigo Tramways Santa Tram will be unable to operate this year but Bendigo Heritage Attractions is hopeful youngsters will be keen to get their Certificate Four in Elf Training.
"After visiting Bendigo each December to have their sleigh serviced by the expert Bendigo Tramways workshop team, Mr and Mrs Claus have identified Bendigo as the ideal location for their new Elf Academy, a training facility especially for Santa's little helpers," a Bendigo Heritage Attractions spokesperson said.
"Hoping to find new recruits to join their team, they were particularly inspired by the spirit and joy that radiated from everyone aboard the Santa Tram."
