A MAN is expected to be charged on summons following a crash in Gisborne South on Thursday morning.
It is alleged a car was travelling on the Calder Highway when it crashed into bollards at a vehicle checkpoint about 4.15am.
The black BMW X5 then hit a parked car before coming to a stop.

No police or defence personnel were injured during the incident.
A 33-year-old man was brought to a police station where he allegedly returned a positive evidentiary breath test.
The Sunbury man had his licence immediately suspended.
He is expected to be charged on summons for drink driving and other traffic offences.
