The matter of Emerson Alan Julian went before the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Thursday for a filing hearing.
Mr Julian did not appear, but was represented by lawyer Luke Docherty.

The matter will return to the court in December and Mr Julian's bail is extended until that time.
The Bendigo resident is charged with dangerous driving causing death and careless driving in relation to a crash on the afternoon of December 12 last year.
Orazio Longano, better known as Fred, was crossing the road in Wood Street, Long Gully when he was allegedly hit by a green Kawasaki motorcycle.

The 77-year-old was taken to hospital, but died on January 6.
Mr Longano founded and ran a McCrae Street pizzeria, named Fred's Pizza, for almost 40 years.
Prior to the pizzeria, Mr Longano had a coffee lounge at the same premises, as well as a hairdressing salon at Charing Cross.
