The structural firefighting helmets were available to Country Fire Authority members across District Two who held a qualification in use of breathing apparatus equipment and search and rescue.
A total 351 helmets were delivered to brigades in District Two.
The new helmets replace existing structural firefighting helmets, but have an improved fit and design.
These helmets are modern, innovative and effective, and the CFA is excited to begin rolling them out to its members across Victoria.
- Garry Cook
CFA acting chief office Garry Cook said the organisation was excited to supply the helmets to eligible volunteer firefighters.
Mr Cook said the helmets had benefits for internal structure firefighting.
"These helmets are modern, innovative and effective, and the CFA is excited to begin rolling them out to its members across Victoria," he said.
The helmets include a one-touch visor, full-coverage internal face shield, integrated helmet torch, comfort harness and liner, and flame-resistant multi-layer neck flaps, with a reinforced composite shell and advanced polymer chassis.
