They have all been in Bendigo about 10 years, starting work at the hospital in 2009 and 2010, and since working in other clinics.
Dr Kodippiliarachchi said the three doctors wanted to start something new in Bendigo.
It's taken three to four years of planning, but the clinic has finally opened.
Dr Kodippiliarachchi said he believed a medical practice should be owned by a doctor, to best suit what the patients need.
OTHER NEWS:
The clinic's vision was to provide holistic patient care, Dr Kodippiliarachchi said. He said the doctors were in favour of preventative care, and serving the local community.
"I believe it's only a GP that would really understand the needs of the patients, so we can do that from the very beginning, from the ground up," he said.
