THE trio of Jemma Finning, Annabel Strahan and Brooke Hards shape as the Bendigo Pioneers' top three prospects to picked up at Tuesday night's AFLW Draft.
The three players were last month among the 43 selected to take part in the Victorian Draft Combine, which wasn't held because of COVID restrictions.
Tuesday night's AFLW Draft comes on the back of a NAB League Girls season where the Pioneers, coached by Cherie O'Neill, played just three games before being called off.
Strahan and Hards were co-captains of the Pioneers team this year, while Hards won the best and fairest last season.
"Annabel is an exciting player... she's one of those players who makes time stand still when she has the ball," O'Neill said on Monday.
"She shows great potential given she has played such little football. She has strong athleticism and ability to read the play. I really enjoyed watching her play with a bit of freedom off the half-back flank and that's where she was quite damaging for us.
"Brooke was coming off a really strong 2019 when she won the best and fairest and played for Vic Country.
"She is an on-baller who is very hard at the ball and certainly won't back down from a challenge.
"She has great football knowledge and I think she could thrive in any position... she's a really good all-round player.
"And Jemma played some really damaging football for us off the half-back flank. Her ability to read the player is fantastic and she is a player who did everything I asked.
"She's listened and applied herself well and is willing to do the hard work. She's definitely a player to watch."
There will be 61 selections available in the AFLW Draft, with Richmond having pick No.1.
The AFLW Draft will be shown live on womens.afl and the AFLW Official App from 7pm on Tuesday.
