One new COVID-19 case has been recorded in regional Victoria overnight, in the Greater Shepparton area.
However, chief health officer Professor Brett Sutton said this test had a high CT value, which was essentially a weak positive.
He said this meant it could end up a negative result upon further investigation.
Across regional Victoria, there are four active coronavirus cases.
Meanwhile, all Victorian school students will return to face-to-face learning from October 26, Education Minister James Merlino has announced.
All primary, VCE and VCAL, and specialist school students were already due to return to school from next Monday, October 12.
They will now be joined by year seven students, while year eight, nine and 10 students will go back to school on October 26.
All regional school students are already scheduled to be back in the classroom by the end of next week.
This week, primary school students in regional Victoria are returning to school, while secondary students will be back beginning Monday, October 12.
The government has advised schools they can stagger the return of students during next week.

Victoria has recorded no deaths from COVID-19 in the 24 hours to Monday, the first time in almost three weeks the daily number of lives lost has sat at zero.
Nine new cases of the illness have been reported, down from 12 the previous day.
The rolling 14-day average of new cases across Victoria sat at 11.9 as of Sunday.
Regional Victoria's 14-day rolling average was 0.3 new cases per day.
A breakdown of the location of the new cases will be released later today, but as of Sunday, there were no active cases in central Victoria.
The last active case in the region was in Macedon Ranges, almost a week ago.
