Department of Health and Human Services data released on Friday showed the only active cases in regional Victoria were in the Colac Otway, East Gippsland, and Mitchell shires. OTHER NEWS: The last active case in central Victoria was listed in the Macedon Ranges on Tuesday. A DHHS spokesperson said the rolling 14-day case average for regional Victoria was 0.2. Earlier Seven more Victorians have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since Thursday. The state reported two more deaths from the virus. It's a drop on new COVID-19 numbers for Thursday, which saw 15 Victorians diagnosed with the virus. Central Victoria had zero known active COVID-19 cases on Thursday for the second day in a row.
Of the known active COVID-19 cases statewide, only three were in regional local government areas on Thursday. Victoria's new case numbers have sat in the low-teens for most of the past week, with one dip below double digits. The states rolling average of new cases per day sits at 13.2 for the past 14 days.
