Daniel Oberin and Kevin Johnson, both from Echuca, are charged with the murder of 29-year-old Matthew Alexander at Daltons Bridge on September 13, 2019.
They appeared via video link at the Bendigo Magistrates' Court this week, where a three-day committal hearing was scheduled to begin on February 10, 2021.
A committal hearing was originally set down for August.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic has meant most committals scheduled to take place in Victoria's Magistrates' Courts over the past seven months have been adjourned.
Mr Alexander was found with critical injuries at an Eastons Road address shortly after 6am on September 13 last year, but died at the scene.
