Leigh Flower appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court last week when he pleaded guilty to nine charges, including theft and contravening bail.
The court heard about 2.30pm on April 8 this year, Flower was captured on CCTV footage at a supermarket in Lansell Square.

Flower went to the meat section where he grabbed a number of items and left without paying.
He was arrested and interviewed on May 7 where he admitted to taking the items.
The court heard then about 4pm on August 1 this year, Flower went to the Kmart store in Lansell Square. He grabbed two jumpers and left the store without paying.
The stolen clothes have not been recovered. He was on bail at the time of the offending.
Flower was arrested and admitted to police he had taken the items because he had no money. He also admitted to being on bail at the time of the offending.
Flower appeared in court on August 25 where he was again granted bail. One of his bail conditions was that he would not be allowed to enter the Kmart store.
The court heard then on September 9 this year, Flower was captured on CCTV footage at a supermarket in Bendigo.
He grabbed a number of items including an iced coffee before leaving the store without paying.
Flower was arrested and conveyed to the Bendigo police station, but was not interviewed due to COVID-19 requirements.

The court heard Flower had methamphetamine and stolen shorts in his possession. Officers said Flower appeared drug affected and was behaving erratically.
The court heard then on September 22 this year, Flower attended the Target store in Bendigo.
He grabbed a number of items including a t-shirt, shorts, and a bag, and then left the store without paying.
The court heard Flower removed the tags on the items and walked to the Reject Store on Hargreaves Street.
The court heard witnesses saw him leave the store wearing the stolen t-shirt.
Police arrested Flower later that day. The court heard it was unsafe for him to be interviewed.
Flower's defence counsel said Flower was homeless and had been struggling to receive support from services and Centrelink.
The lawyer said while Flower was aware he would receive a term of imprisonment, it should be a shorter jail sentence.
Magistrate Rodney Higgins jailed Flower for seven days. His one day in custody was reckoned as already served.
