Take responsibility for hotel quarantine failures
With the amount of amnesia shown by all Labor party witnesses in the hotel quarantine bungle, one would have to question why we pay these politicians such high wages when their memories are that bad?

Opposition putting pressure on state government
Regional Victorians have paid a high price for Daniel Andrews' mistakes in Melbourne.
Resilience is in the blood of country people, but this second shutdown has smashed our businesses and communities.
All because Daniel Andrews let the virus slip through the cracks of hotel quarantine.
Refusing to accept the Federal Government's offer of ADF support and an under-resourced contact tracing program all combined into the perfect storm of a second wave regional Victorians didn't need to have.
Despite some restrictions easing, life is still far from normal on the long road to recovery.
Gyms and dance schools still remain closed, cafes, pubs and restaurants are strictly limited to just a fraction of their capacity and our kids are months behind the rest of the nation in their education.
Victorians have lost confidence in Daniel Andrews' ability to govern our state.

Memory problems have some history
Some years ago it was reported that former President Bill Clinton had been paid $12 million dollars for his memoir. Hillary Clinton was said to have received $8 million for hers.
As the story went, that made $20 millio for the memoirs of two people who had both sworn, under oath, that they could not remember anything.
Apocryphal, no doubt, but it comes to mind when reading about the sudden and total amnesia being suffered, simultaneously, by senior government officials at the inquiry into the hotel quarantine disaster.
One can only assume that the unending pressure these people are under is affecting their memories.
Yes, that must be it.
