Damaging winds are expected to lash central Victoria overnight Monday night and into Tuesday morning as a series of cold fronts cross the state in the coming days.

The Bureau of Meteorology advised winds averaging 60 to 70 kilometres per hour, with peaks gusts of around 90 to 100km'h are likely to develop at elevated areas.
Locations which may be affected include Kyneton, Daylesford, Bacchus Marsh and Castlemaine.

The State Emergency Service advised people to check loose items like outdoor settings, umbrellas, and trampolines to ensure they were safely secured.
Vehicles should also be moved under cover or away from trees.
The SES also advised people to stay indoors and away from windows, and to pull over away from trees, drains, and floodwater if driving conditions became dangerous.
