The 5'10 defender is the next of the players to be featured by Allen Basketball for their top performances at the 2019 Under-18 Junior Championships.
"It was a tough competition, but playing against the best from your age group from across the country is always a great experience," Michel said.
During the tournament Michel averaged 3.89 points per game, 3.67 rebounds, 2.89 assists and two steals.
He has been described by Lucas Allen as being a top-notch leader, excellent defender, great distributor and an incredible teammate.
"I feel that I bring a really good energy on to the court and as I am a smaller guard, I'm not that much of a scorer but I am able to help distribute to my teammates," Michel said.
Michel has been playing basketball since he was a young boy and said "I was born with a basketball in my hand".
His experience includes playing with the Bendigo Braves in both the under-16 and 18 squads, in addition to four state team selections, and captaining his team to silver at an earlier Australian Junior Championships.
He currently plays for the Gators in his native Shepparton and has plans to one day play professionally.
"I am really starting to progress well at the moment as I've been working very hard and will always consider playing professionally."
