Golf Australia has confirmed, based on advice from the Victorian DHHS, that clubs have the green light to conduct club competitions with groups of four, albeit under strict COVID-19 rules which includes mandatory masks.
Belvoir Park Golf Club president Mark Perry said there had been plenty of members who were eager to get back to competition play.
"It's great to have our competitions back for our members, over the past day there has been plenty of inquires to both myself and the committee about if and when we could hold them again," Perry said.
During stage three regional Victorian golfers have been fortunate to still be able to play golf, in comparison to players in metropolitan Melbourne where it remains strictly off limits.

Though competitions have been off the cards for the past few weeks, there was still a surge in participation across the district for social play.
"Green fees have been keeping us going which has been quite successful in the meantime," Perry said.
Perry himself has been taking a well-deserved break during the winter months, but with warm weather on the way he is now more than eager to get back out on the course.
"I snuck out last Saturday and the results proved I hadn't been playing for a while," he laughed.
"I've got a group together and ready to go for competition this Saturday."
Belvoir's iconic Big Hill course layout has received more than 500mm of rain so far this year and is in prime condition ahead of summer.
"By pulling off carts for a few weeks during the dead of winter it really helped the course bounce back," Perry said.
"Our Santa Ana fairways are now just starting to pop up."
Restrictions still remain for the use of practice facilities, hire of equipment and coaching within an indoor environment, however, GA continues to seek clarification on any updates.
