The Central Goldfields Shire Council noted at its meeting on Tuesday night that Doran Earthmoving Pty Ltd was contracted to construct part of the flood levee.
It follows a public tender process, which closed on August 26 and attracted nine submissions.
Stage three and four of the Carisbrook Flood Mitigation Levee works will involve the construction of a flood levee, earthworks, and the installation of infrastructure.

Stage three of the works will start in the coming months, with construction due to be completed by the end of the year.
The contract for Doran Earthmoving Pty Ltd will involve the construction of a couple of sections of the Carisbrook flood levee.
The work will be on Pleasant Street from the Pyrenees Highway to the railway line, and on High Street from the railway line to Church Street.
The works will involve building up and constructing a sealed road, and associated open drainage works.
The works along the railway line and Pyrenees Highway culverts will be completed in the future stage.
Central Goldfields Shire chief administrator Noel Harvey said the awarding of the construction tender marked another key milestone in the Carisbrook Flood Mitigation Levee project.
"Stage three and four are the final stages of the flood mitigation works that will see the construction of the levee," Mr Harvey said.
"Since we commenced as administrators, this project has been a major focus and we've remained committed to supporting the Carisbrook community in managing flood mitigation.
"We acknowledge it's been a long process for the community of Carisbrook and we are obviously very happy to see this project move to the final stage."
The levee project was designed in response to the major floods that hit the region in 2010 and 2011.
More than 250 homes in Carisbrook were inundated in January, 2011.
Most of the township was evacuated and about 800 people were displaced.
In the years since the floods, the Central Goldfields Shire has consulted with the the Carisbrook community about the Carisbrook Flood Mitigation Levee project.
The shire has also been in consultation with referral agencies, as well as public and private land owners.
