An Alfred Health spokesperson said a Bendigo man who suffered severe burns in an explosion on Eaglehawk on Wednesday morning is in a critical, but stable condition as of Thursday morning.

A Bendigo Health spokesperson said a man who suffered severe burns in an explosion in Eaglehawk on Wednesday morning is being airlifted to Melbourne's Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.

A man has suffered severe burns in an explosion in Eaglehawk.
The man was reportedly crushing gas bottles at the Baldock Court business at the time.
An employee attempted to extinguish the flames.
WorkSafe are on scene.
Ambulance Victoria said a man in his twenties has been taken to Bendigo Health and the air ambulance may be called.
A Victoria Police spokesman said police attended at just after 11.30am on Wednesday morning.
"This matter has been handed over to WorkSafe for investigation," the spokesperson said.
A Fire Rescue Victoria spokesperson said crews arrived to find a gas bottle had exploded.
"They worked to make the scene safe and transferred one person into the care of Ambulance Victoria paramedics," the spokesperson said.
WorkSafe have been contacted for comment.

Emergency services are attending an Eaglehawk business after reports of an explosion on Wednesday morning.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed one person is being treated for burns on scene, at Omega Metal Recyclers in Baldock Court following a call at about 11.30am.
Fire Rescue Victoria vehicles and one pumper from Eaglehawk CFA are also in attendance.
Detectives have also arrived on site.
