Mobile network upgrades in Golden Square could impact service delivery during the next fortnight, as Telstra's 5G network rollout in Bendigo continues.
Customers may continue to receive coverage from nearby mobile sites but there will be unavoidable impacts to mobile services, Telstra said.
Text messages have been sent to customers informing them of the upgrade work, scheduled to take place between September 14 and 25.
Businesses may also note an impact to their EFTPOS terminals if they use the 3G or 4G network, depending on the mobile tower they're connected to, Telstra said.
Telstra's regional general manager Steve Tinker said there's never a perfect time to schedule upgrade work.
"While we've carefully planned upgrade work in the area to minimise disruption, our customers may notice some impact to mobile services," Mr Tinker said.
"We apologise for the interruption but once we're finished it'll mean better services for our customers."
