A man accused of culpable driving in a crash that caused the death of a woman at Malmsbury has appeared in court.

John Murray Van Remmen, 30, appeared at the Bendigo Magistrates' Court via video link on Thursday.
Mr Van Remmen is charged with culpable driving causing death in relation to a crash in Mollison Street on Saturday, September 5.

Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash about 2.35pm.
A 74-year-old Kyneton woman was taken to hospital, but died.
Mr Van Remmen will next appear at court in December.
He remains on bail.
