Paramedics were called to Ogilvie Avenue, near Dobinson Street, shortly before 10am on Monday.
The injured man is believed to be in his 20s.
An air ambulance helicopter is understood to have been initially dispatched. However, paramedics are believed to have taken the man to Bendigo Hospital by road ambulance.
Campaspe Highway Patrol Senior Constable Corey Holland did not believe the man's injuries to have been life threatening.
Police are investigating what happened.
"We have no concerns in relation to the truck involved," Senior Constable Holland said.
He said the driver was shaken but otherwise uninjured.
