LA TROBE University has been ranked as one the top 250 universities in the world for the first time
The university came in at 234th in the 2021 Times Higher Education World Rankings after being ranked 291st last year.
Only two other Victorian universities - the University of Melbourne and Monash University - placed higher.
The latest recognition came after the university placed fourth in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for overall contribution to the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals.
