A CLINICIAN from Healthworks Healthcare in Kangaroo Flat has tested positive to COVID-19.

The Public Health Unit Bendigo said it was aware the clinician worked at the Kangaroo Flat site during their infectious period.
The unit advised that any patient who had an appointment with the clinician on August 25 was considered a close contact.
The Public Health Unit Bendigo was contacting all close contacts.

Those close contacts would be required to isolate, undergo testing on Friday and on day 11, and remain isolated until cleared by the Public Health Unit Bendigo or the Department of Health and Human Services.
Those who were not contacted were not deemed to be a close contact.
The clinic was closed on Friday after the case was notified to the Public Health Unit Bendigo. It will re-open on Monday after a deep clean.
The Public Health Unit Bendigo encouraged any other staff members or patients who had been at the clinic in the past week and were concerned to get tested.
Any other staff member or patient who developed symptoms should get tested and isolate until they received a negative result.
Symptoms included a fever, sore throat, shortness of breath, cough, a runny nose, and loss of taste or smell.
