Tooborac Hotel and Brewery owner James Carlin confirmed the pub had been deep cleaned and assessed by WorkSafe since the diagnosis on Saturday.
Mr Carllin said the staff member had worked a two hour shift while potentially infectious. He said one other person was on site, but in a different part of the building.
OTHER NEWS:
The hotel confirmed the staff member was asymptomatic and otherwise well, isolating at home, in a post on Facebook.
Mr Carlin said the transmission was home-based, outside of Tooborac.
In the Facebook post he confirmed they would not return to work until their quarantine period was over, and they had returned a negative test result.
