Cafes for COVID harnesses local producers and pays pubs, restaurants and cafes to use those supplies to make meals.
The meals are distributed to people accessing food relief networks, such as Bendigo Foodshare.

A crowdfunding campaign kick started the program, raising more than $11,000 to purchase products and pay hospitality businesses to make the food.
"We have now teamed up with StreetSmart, who have donated money and asked us to source meals," Ms Bentley said.
A homelessness support organisation, StreetSmart's SmartMeal's initiative means Bendigo businesses can provide food to people in central Victoria and beyond.
New businesses are encouraged to engage in the program, which will soon embark on its third round.
"There has been a recent donation of $10,200, which will make 1200 meals through September," Ms Bentley said.
"Each round has been a little bit different and we are using excess food from Bendigo Foodshare, if possible.
"Businesses will be paid to make the meal, source the ingredients and containers and provide it to Bendigo Foodshare, who will distribute the meal to people doing it tough."
Bendigo's National Hotel owner Bruce Morcom said his pub is proud to have produced dozens of meals and participated in the program.
"We are just trying to do our little bit during the pandemic and engage with people who need support," Mr Morcom said.
"Early on in the piece we were helping out Annie North and now Foodshare."
Ms Bentley said feedback from businesses who have taken part in the program has been positive.
"The initial feedback is that while business is tough, staff are happy to be utilised in a positive way and make a contribution to the community," Ms Bentley said.
"The recipients of the meals are really enjoying the fact they are receiving meals from well known hospitality businesses, which provides them with value and dignity as a person.
"It shows the community that there are people out there who care for them and we are all working together to support each other."
Remaining connected to the community during the pandemic is important, Ms Bentley said.
"This program has been such a success and we have given a platform for businesses and individuals to come together," she said.
