AFL CENTRAL Victoria is proposing to reduce its four salary caps by more than $85,000 combined for next year.
AFLCV has submitted its 2021 salary cap proposals to AFL Victoria and is awaiting approval.
The confirmed figures are desperately being wanted by clubs so they can plan for 2021 and their recruiting definitively knowing what they will be permitted to spend under the cap.
The recommendation submitted for the Bendigo league is for a salary cap of $125,000 next year, which is a cut of $25,000 (16.6 per cent) from what would have been this year's figure of $150,000.
The three other leagues - Heathcote District, Loddon Valley and North Central - have all had their proposed salary caps cut to $106,600.
Heathcote District and North Central both had $130,000 caps set for this year, while Loddon Valley's figure was $120,000.
Major country leagues that have this week had their salary caps set for next year include Ballarat ($100,000) and Hampden ($110,000).
