Woolworths confirmed the shift details on Tuesday afternoon and Lansell Square shared the information with the community and tenant customers.
The spokesperson said the centre was advised there was a low risk to customers and other staff.
"Woolworths have a process in place that ensures all trolleys are sanitised on return and before being used by another customer," the spokesperson said.
"We were advised by the Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Bendigo Health that the risk is low.
"However, we did undertake an overnight deep clean as a precautionary measure. Woolworths also completed a deep overnight clean.
"Additionally, when visiting Lansell Square, you are required to wear a face mask, socially distance and practice good hygiene.
"All of these elements assist with further reducing risk and stopping the spread of COVID-19. We have also regularly communicated that if they are feeling unwell, please stay home.
