Swatton was appointed coach for the first time ahead of the 2020 BFNL season but is yet to lead the side in a match for premiership points following the BFNL's decision to cancel the competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The reappointment was announced late last week on the Bulldogs' social media account.
Club president Brendan Stewart said the appointment of Swatton, who joined the Bulldogs after a two-year stint as coach of Maiden Gully YCW, would allow the club to begin preparations for what will be a big 2021 for Golden Square netball.
"We are restructuring our coaching set up and are currently advertising for a netball director, along with an A-squad assistant, B-squad coach and B-squad assistant," he said.
"I would like to thank our 2020 coaches for all their hard work this year as training was fluctuating on again-off again during the COVID crisis.
"It was a difficult task to keep our players motivated and enthusiastic and you all did a remarkable job in the circumstances.
"We look forward to a restart when and where possible knowing that pre-season will most likely be affected by restrictions and protocols for training and playing."
The Bulldogs entered 2020 looking to rebound from an ultra-rare season without a finals appearance in 2019.
A prolific previous decade for the club included premiership wins in 2011 and 2015 and four-straight grand final appearances from 2014-17.
Newcomers to their A-grade line-up were to include former Balranald A-grade player and best and fairest Paynton Jolliffe, Hayley Harrington and one of the stars of the Bulldogs' 17-and-under grand final team in 2019, Madeline Marks.
In other coaching developments, the club has acknowledged the 'dedication and commitment' of a key member of its panel Melinda Keighran, who has advised the club she won't be coaching in 2021.
One of the club's longest-serving coaches, Keighran joined the club in 2012 and coached 157 games across several grades, with much finals success.
She most recently led the Bulldogs' 17-and-under team to a grand final appearance in 2019 and was set to coach the A-reserve team in 2020.
