The driver last worked on Monday. Christians was advised of the positive case on Thursday.
The company said the affected bus was cleaned and sanitised before and after the service on Monday.
It would not specify the affected line.
"In response to COVID-19, our buses now have a restricted bus drivers area, with public access via the rear door only. As a result, passengers are not considered close contacts," Christians said in a statement.
It said the workplace and the affected bus had undergone a deep clean.
"We have also consulted with the Department of Health and Human Services to confirm that only people who had close contact with the driver are at risk of infection," the company said.
Christians said it had implemented additional cleaning and sanitisation since the beginning of the pandemic, as well as regular fumigation of buses, provision of protective personal equipment, social distancing in the workplace, closed lunchrooms, and ongoing education about personal hygiene and identification of COVID-19 symptoms.
"We understand that this is a challenging time for all our employees and the broader community," the company said.
It directed concerned members of the community to the COVID-19 Hotline on 1800 675 398.
