The Department of Health and Human Services on Friday reported another 372 new coronavirus cases were detected across the state in the past 24 hours.
It came after 278 new COVID-19 cases and another eight deaths were recorded in the state on Thursday. Four of those deaths were linked to an aged care setting.
Greater Bendigo recorded no new coronavirus cases on Thursday, with the region's active cases dropping from 53 to 52.
The total number of cases recorded in Greater Bendigo since the pandemic started remains at 73.
Macedon Ranges recorded two new cases on Thursday, while the Mount Alexander, Campaspe, Central Goldfields, Loddon, Campaspe, and Buloke shire all recorded no new cases.
Premier Daniel Andrews on Thursday announced there would be expanded COVID-19 testing in Bendigo.
"We encourage anybody in Bendigo, Ballarat, or Geelong, and anyone across regional Victoria, if you've got even the mildest of symptoms, please come forward and get tested," Mr Andrews said.
"That's an important part of our fight against this virus."
