The Department of Health and Human Services on Wednesday reported another 410 new coronavirus cases were detected across the state in the past 24 hours.
It came after the number of active COVID-19 cases in Greater Bendigo declined on Tuesday, bringing its total to 54 active cases.

The fewer active cases could signal recovery, or reclassification of the illness. Bendigo Health confirmed there were no COVID-19 deaths at the hospital.
Department data released on Tuesday showed 20 coronavirus cases have been linked to the Hazeldene's Chicken Farm in Bendigo.
Sixteen COVID-19 cases have been linked to St Joseph's Primary School in Quarry Hill.
Central Goldfields Shire reported a new active COVID-19 case, while active coronavirus case numbers in Mount Macedon and Mount Alexander were unchanged.
The Loddon Shire dropped from two active cases to one active case.
