Holy Rosary Primary School in White Hills has confirmed a second student has tested positive for COVID-19.
Principal Paul Wilkinson wrote to parents and carers on Tuesday afternoon, outlining that Bendigo Health's Public Health Unit had notified the school of the second case.
Mr Wilkinson said the Public Health Unit has advised "this will not have an impact on most Holy Rosary families."
The correspondence, which has been posted to the school's Facebook page, said "if you are a family who have not yet been contacted by Bendigo Health and have a child in the Foundation (Prep) area, you now must ensure your children remain at home while contact tracing occurs."
"Bendigo Health will be in contact in the near future," Mr Wilkinson said.
The school said it is being supported by Bendigo Health and Catholic Education Sandhurst.
