Wilson was commissioned to complete a work in Kangaroo Flat and stopped at the bakery for breakfast while driving to Bendigo. After the mural was complete, the bakery liked Wilson's post on Facebook.
From there the two collaborated to bring a new mural to life at the Elmore Bakery.
"I sent them message and said 'this is random but the post you liked was done after I stopped at the bakery for breakfast, so you're part of the project in a little way'," Wilson said. "They were looking for artists to do a wall and it went from there."
Last weekend, Wilson painted three pink, sprinkled donuts on the bakery's wall.
Donuts are becoming synonymous with Elmore thanks to its Donut Festival and the bakery's reputation for some mouthwatering creations.
"The idea was to make something really bright and fun that kids find would magical and say 'wow'," Wilson said. "I wanted something that captures the eye and brings joy.
"Travis and Leah, who own the bakery, are very happy with it and were awesome to work with."
Wilson is a nurse by trade but has painted under the moniker Art by Sophletta for six years.
She learned her craft living in Brazil with her partner and has painted murals in Shepparton, Benalla and Bendigo.
"It wasn't something intentional," Wilson said. "I had exposure to a strong culture of art that was inspiring. After came we back, street art exploded in regional Victoria.
"It's not a full-time profession for me, just more of a passion on the side. If I'm not wearing a surgical masks, I'm wearing a spray mask."
