POLICE have found the body of a man who vanished from a Strathfieldsaye address yesterday.
The 49-year-old man's body was found at Mount Alexander, south of Bendigo.
Police had deployed the air wing to the Whipstick Forest earlier in the day after receiving information he could have travelled there.
However, that search was cancelled a short time later.
The man was found at 2.30pm.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious and will prepare a report for the coroner.

Emergency services are launching a search of the Whipstick Forest, north of Bendigo, for the missing man.
Police said a helicopter will be involved in the search.
Earlier
POLICE want your help to a missing man last seen at a Strathfieldsaye address yesterday afternoon.
The man was last there at about 2pm.
He could be travelling in a black 2014 Mitsubishi Triton Ute with the registration VBARKS.
Police and family have concerns for his welfare due to a medical condition.
The man is aged in his late 40s and was wearing a black baseball cap, black jeans, black jacket and work boots.

Investigators believe he may have travelled to the Whipstick area.
