WEEROONA College Bendigo has reopened just days after it closed due to a positive COVID-19 case. Principal Jason Bysouth told families in a note published on the school's website. A coronavirus cases was reported at the school on Friday. Mr Bysouth said the school was closed for 24 hours as a precautionary measure. "The Department of Health and Human Services has advised the school it can re-open from August 9," Mr Bysouth told families. "I'd like to thank the entire school community at the outset for your patience and understanding during this difficult time." It came after a student at Holy Rosary Primary School in White Hills tested positive to COVID-19. The school will be closed for at least one week. All students have been directed to stay at home and not attend public places until contact tracing is completed.
