GOLDEN Square will cast its net far and wide in its hunt for a new senior coach.
Bernie Haberman had coached the Bulldogs since 2017, but the club will have a new leader for the 2021 BFNL season.
"We feel as though there could be some options about, particularly at a high end given what has happened at AFL level (football department cuts) and that the market could be a bit more in favour of clubs at the moment to see what's around," Golden Square president Brendan Stewart said on Saturday.
"We're advertising the position broadly and we're confident we'll land the right coach and we'd be hopeful we'd be able to have an appointment made in early September.
"Bernie has been a terrific coach and we were fortunate to have him for the time we did. We felt we had a really strong list this year with good locals and some quality recruits and that we'd be in a good position, so it was disappointing for Bernie and the club that we didn't get a start."

While praising Haberman for his "professional and passionate contribution" to the Bulldogs, Stewart said the club had made a "long term decision" in seeking a new coach.
Meanwhile, as well as being on the hunt for a new senior coach, the Bulldogs have also just lost star on-baller Adam Baird.
Baird, who has won the Bulldogs' past two best and fairests, as well as last season's BFNL Michelsen Medal and is a four-time premiership player with Golden Square, has signed with Heathcote District league club Mount Pleasant as an assistant coach.
"We wish Adam all the best. We'd obviously love to have him continue playing with us because he's been a great player for us for a long time," Stewart said.
"One day when he's had his stint out at Mounts we'd hope to have him back at the Bulldogs... the door is always open for him."
