Fire Rescue Victoria crews were called to the scene about 10.30pm after a triple zero call was made reporting a house fire on High Street.
Crews were on scene within four minutes and the fire was declared under control within about 10 minutes of the call.
Senior Constable Amanda Carrod, from the Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit, said the house was vacant.
She said the cause had not yet been determined and an arson chemist would work to establish this.
