After shooting a 3-over in the first round, Herbert fired an even-par 70 in round two.
Herbert's second round featured par on 12 holes, accompanied by three birdies on the par 5 4th (607 yards), par 5 10th (566 yards) and par 4 16th (285 yards) and three bogeys on the par 4 5th (428 yards), par 4 9th (520 yards) and par 3 11th (202 yards).
FIRST ROUND: A tough two final holes put Lucas Herbert back above par at the first round of the PGA Championship.
Herbert, who started on the 10th, was even-par heading into the final two holes of the day at TPC Harding Park.
A bogey on the par three eighth and a double-bogey on the par four ninth moved him back to three-over for the day in T109th.

However, Herbert showed strong signs earlier in the round with some birdies and solid drives and will come out firing in the second round to make Saturday's cut.
He will tee up in round two alongside Judd Gibb and Mark Hubbard at 2.01AM AEST on Saturday morning.
Fellow Australian Jason Day is tied for the lead with Brendon Todd at five-under par.
