Well, golf this weekend across the Bendigo district will look very different to what it did this time last week.

Masks, groups restricted to pairs, no practice putting or finding your swing on the driving range and there will be none of what most club golfers live for, the prized Saturday competition.
I am certain there are many golfers around that are annoyed that they won't be able to play competitions for the foreseeable future.
However, let's look on the bright side.
Rewind to three months ago when regional Victorians were fist subjected to stage three restrictions and golf courses were purely off limits.
There was a period of around six weeks where we weren't even able to step foot on a golf course, not even in our wildest dreams.
This time around we can play, which is a blessing as you can spare a thought for the thousands of eager golfers in Melbourne, especially Sam Newman, who would do anything for a game and the best they will get for now is hitting a ball into a bed sheet on their clothesline.
Neangar Park's head PGA professional Dean Dixon was thrilled golfers would still be able to hit the course.
"We're lucky to be able to play and being able to get outside for some relief," Dixon said.
"It is what it is, there are plenty of people who want to play competition, but at the same time there are those who just want to play socially.
"In a way this is a new avenue for players who may have been intimidated playing competition or in larger groups and feel more comfortable playing in pairs."
So when you're standing on the first tee this weekend, weather permitting, remember how lucky we are to still be able to play the game we love the most.
Happy hitting.
