The Clayton Tonkin-trained colt took an astonishing 2.7 seconds off the mile record at Lord's Raceway.
Ride High became the first horse to break one minute and 50 seconds over the mile at Lord's Raceway, running a breathtaking 1:49.0.
With Kima Frenning in the sulky, Ride High started from the inside of the second row, but was quickly taken around the field to sit in the death seat.
Second favourite Sirletic led the field and tried to put the pressure on the $1.04 chance, but it was to no avail.
After a slick 55.3 second first half of the mile, Sirletic had no answers as Frenning let Ride High go at the 600m mark.
The five-year-old cruised clear and steamed home in a 53.5 second last half to win by 21 metres.
"There's been some talk about how he hasn't beaten a lot and that he had to prove that he is really good, well I think he just did that,'' Frennng told Trots Vision after the win.
"The plugs were still in and he did it so easy. It's crazy."
It was Ride High's 14th win from 15 career starts.
